About Lucie

Lucie J. Mansell lives on the Wirral Peninsula in the UK with her incredibly supportive husband, her permanently positive son, her mercurial cat and fluffy monster of a dog. Her writing career began at a very young age, sitting under the dining table with her grandparents’ dog, during family parties and then later flourished when she discovered the joys of a typewriter; a medium through which she would create little books, filled with stories that would serve as practise for the real thing; a feat which she would finally attempt at the grand old age of thirty-one, with the independent publication of her debut novel, Sins of the Father, the opening instalment of the Bloody Marytown saga.

In her spare time, Lucie enjoys nature, exploring the wonders of old stately homes and gardens, armed with her National Trust membership, motorsport, reading and sketching. Heading into the twilight years of her late thirties, she has discovered that the real world isn’t half as bad as she perhaps imagined it to be…

But she still hears voices in her head.

And visits with them often.
